Hisense Malaysia has expanded its home appliance portfolio with the launch of the **Hisense 4-Door Inverter 740L Refrigerator (RQ600P7AB), a new premium model designed to meet the evolving needs of larger and more connected households.

Blending high-capacity storage, smart home functionality and a sleek contemporary aesthetic, the refrigerator reflects the growing consumer demand for appliances that do more than simply perform a basic household function. With the RQ600P7AB, Hisense is positioning refrigeration as part of a broader lifestyle ecosystem — one that combines convenience, hygiene, energy-conscious design and digital connectivity.

At the core of the new model is its 740-litre gross capacity, offering a spacious interior structured around a 365-litre refrigerator compartment, a 121-litre freezer and a 129-litre My Fresh Choice zone**. This adaptable bottom-right compartment is among the model’s most practical features, allowing users to switch its temperature settings according to their needs, effectively transforming it from a fridge into a freezer or vice versa. For households with changing grocery habits, festive entertaining needs or varying storage requirements from week to week, this flexibility offers a significant advantage.

According to **Derek Jin, Managing Director of Hisense Malaysia**, the launch reflects the brand’s commitment to combining advanced technology with thoughtful design to improve everyday living.

The RQ600P7AB is also equipped with features aimed at making daily kitchen routines simpler and more efficient. One of its standout functions is the PureView Window, which allows users to check the contents of the refrigerator without opening the door. By reducing unnecessary opening and closing, the feature helps maintain internal temperature while potentially lowering energy consumption. The system is supported by TouchLight, activated with a tap on the glass, and SenseLight, which automatically illuminates as users approach, enhancing ease of use when hands are occupied.

Beyond storage and visibility, the appliance is positioned as a smart home hub. Its 6.86-inch interactive touchscreen, described as an Intelligent Hub, is designed to support meal planning and household organisation. Users can track food expiry dates, browse more than 200 recipes and manage connected devices through the ConnectLife app, reinforcing the idea of the modern refrigerator as an integrated command centre within the kitchen.

Health and hygiene also feature prominently in the product’s design. The refrigerator includes UV Ice & Water Treatment, which Hisense says can eliminate up to 99.9 per cent of bacteria from the water and ice supply, as well as an Anti-Bacterial Guard that works continuously inside the fridge cavity to help keep stored food fresher for longer. These features reflect a broader market trend in which consumers increasingly prioritise food safety and cleanliness alongside convenience.

To support those claims, Hisense notes that the appliance’s performance and smart systems are backed by independent certifications. SGS certification validates its bacterial elimination performance, while TÜV Rheinland certification covers IoT privacy and digital protection, addressing not only physical safety but also concerns around connected home technology and personal data security.

Inside, the refrigerator has been designed with visibility and organisation in mind. Top and side LED lighting ensures clear illumination throughout the interior, while adjustable full-width and half-width glass shelves, multiple door baskets in both the refrigerator and freezer sections, and a dedicated Fresh Zone crisper are intended to support practical, everyday storage.

The launch of the RQ600P7AB also reinforces Hisense’s broader momentum in Malaysia. The company says it remains the number one brand in the country’s 4-door refrigerator category, based on GFK 2024 data, while also maintaining strong market leadership in other appliance segments. As competition in the premium home appliance space continues to intensify, products like the RQ600P7AB show how brands are increasingly differentiating themselves through a combination of capacity, adaptability and connected features.

Now available through authorised Hisense Malaysia retailers nationwide and online, the new model is aimed at consumers seeking a refrigerator that functions not only as a storage solution, but as a more intelligent and responsive part of the modern home.

For Malaysian households balancing larger grocery loads, smart living preferences and an increasing expectation for multifunctional appliances, the Hisense RQ600P7AB arrives as a product designed to keep pace with how kitchens — and lifestyles — continue to evolve.
