Sony Thermo Technology Inc. today announced the release of the REON POCKET 6, the sixth-generation standard model of the REON POCKET series of wearable thermo devices. The device is designed to be worn on the back of the neck, directly cooling or warming the body surface at the point of contact.
Incorporating the newly developed “Compact DUAL Thermo Module” with a new cooling algorithm, this product achieves greater cooling performance by up to 2°C while maintaining an overall body size similar to the previous model .
Featuring a more refined design and an evolved fit, the REON POCKET 6 provides a comfortable temperature experience across a wide range of environments, from daily commutes to business settings.

Enhanced Cooling and a Compact Form Factor with the Newly Developed “Compact DUAL Thermo Module”
The device is equipped with a compact thermo module newly developed exclusively for the REON POCKET 6. Adopting the same “DUAL Thermo Module” architecture as the flagship model, two independent thermo modules operate alternately with varying intensity to prolong the sensation of cooling.
The a new cooling algorithm, which is optimised for comfort, achieves up to a 2°C improvement in cooling performance1 while maintaining an overall body size2 similar to the previous model3. Sony’s advanced cooling technology is now condensed into an even more compact body.
New Neckband Featuring “Adaptive Hold Design”
The neckband utilizes a newly adopted “Adaptive Hold Design,” balancing a secure fit with a comfortable hold around the neck. By enlarging the diameter of the mechanical tube inside the band, flexibility has been significantly improved, allowing the device to track the user’s movements more smoothly. Additionally, soft silicone band supporters are positioned at the tips to ensure maximum comfort during prolonged wear.
Redesigned Air Vent Cover Adjustable to Fit Your Attire
The detachable air vent cover, designed to exhaust heat from inside the unit, has been completely re-engineered. Evolving from a fixed, conventional shape; the new mechanism allows for extension, retraction, and angle adjustment of the exhaust vent. This innovation optimizes the exhaust flow to suit the user’s neck shape, preferences, and various clothing styles (from T-shirts to collared shirts), thereby maintaining peak cooling performance.
Direct Device Operation and a Smart Design Harmonizing with Your Style
Buttons on the side of the unit allow for basic controls, useful for situations where it is inconvenient to take out a smartphone. Users can power the unit on/off, switch modes, and select temperature levels directly on the device. The main body’s light grey colour easily complements a variety of outfits. Its smooth form, with rounded edges, creates a smart, unobtrusive design that seamlessly integrates into your personal style.
