Logitech has unveiled what may be its most ambitious gaming keyboard to date—the Logitech G512 X—bringing an unprecedented level of customisation and performance to the Malaysian market.
Blending mechanical precision with emerging analog technology, the G512 X signals a shift in how gaming keyboards are designed—not just as input devices, but as fully adaptable tools tailored to individual playstyles.
A Hybrid Approach to Precision and Control
At the core of the G512 X is a hybrid system that combines Logitech’s MX mechanical switches with Gateron KS-20 magnetic analog switches, offering users the flexibility to customise specific keys based on their needs.
The inclusion of nine swappable analog switches allows for variable input—enabling more nuanced control in games where precision matters, such as racing or action titles. Complementing this is the introduction of Second Actuation Pressure Points (SAPP), which provide dual actuation levels per key, effectively unlocking two commands from a single press.
It is a level of control that moves beyond traditional binary inputs, offering gamers a more dynamic interaction with their hardware.
Engineered for Competitive Performance
Logitech has also equipped the G512 X with 39 tunneling magnetoresistance (TMR) switch beds, primarily positioned along the left side of the keyboard. This setup enables multipoint actuation, further enhancing responsiveness for complex key combinations.
Performance remains a clear priority. The keyboard supports an 8K wired polling rate, delivering a rapid 0.125ms response time—a specification aimed squarely at competitive gamers where speed and accuracy are critical.
Thoughtful Design, Inside and Out
Despite its technical depth, the G512 X maintains a compact footprint, available in both 75-key and 98-key layouts. The design reflects a careful balance between functionality and aesthetics.

Dual assignable dials provide quick access to controls, while integrated storage compartments neatly house the included analog switches and SAPP rings—an understated but practical touch.
Even the adjustable feet serve a dual purpose, doubling as keycap and switch pullers, reinforcing the keyboard’s emphasis on user customisation.
A detachable palm rest and a vibrant RGB lightbar complete the package, offering both comfort and visual flair.
Pricing and Availability in Malaysia
The Logitech G512 X is positioned firmly within the premium segment:
G512 X (75-key): RM799
G512 X (98-key): RM829
Palm rest (optional): RM169
Buyers can choose between two distinct colourways—a bold black and purple finish, or a cleaner white and teal combination.
The keyboard will be available in Malaysia starting 16 May 2026, through authorised retailers as well as Logitech’s official stores on Lazada and Shopee.
Verdict: A Keyboard Built for the Future of Gaming
With the G512 X, Logitech is not merely refining its existing lineup—it is redefining expectations.
By combining mechanical reliability with analog flexibility, and layering in thoughtful design details, the keyboard offers a level of personalisation rarely seen in its class.
